Two days and 75 shirts sold later · by Rafi Kam

I made this post on Thursday afternoon about the J Dilla tribute shirts we’re selling to raise money for his family. It’s Saturday night now and we’ve just had an order for the 75th shirt.

I thought it might take about three weeks to raise $1,000 but it looks like we’ll be there in three days instead. Lets keep up the momentum and see how far we can take this.

Thanks to everyone who has ordered a shirt or has helped spread the message. The response has been surprising, uplifting and just really cool to see. It’s also further proof of how much this loss is felt and how appreciated Dilla remains for all his efforts and artistry.

    I think that with the mass sharing/downloading of the man’s music, it’s ill that people still find a way to contribute.

    Helps that the designs are genuinely dope as well.

  4. I know I’m mad late but….How can I buy one of those “J-Dilla Changed My Life” Tees? Also, I wish I would have known about your spit over a Dilla beat contest… I got a song up on the German MTV website that is me rockin’ over a Dilla beat… The song is called “Mic Porn”... It’s not as bad as the title sounds… =)
