Stop Shooting: Live at the Barbeque · by Rafi Kam

Yo, New York Post, don’t brag and boast

The next time a rapper invites you to their birthday party, you’re probably better off just sending a hip-hop birthday card instead.

It was just last week that we told you about the three people shot by a magic bullet at Yo Gotti’s birthday party.

Today the New York Post reports that a Memorial Day birthday barbecue for G-Unit “associate” Jesse Brown Jr. went awry when half the guests tried to kill the other half.

Whatever happened to volleyball or flag football? Now those are two events we find much more agreeable to this kind of festivity.

The Post reports that what started as an intimate and relaxing gathering gradually grew to a crowd of 150. “At one point, a group of bikini-clad women also showed up outside, followed by a group of men on motorcycles.” This quite explains the shooting as some of the crowd must have mistakenly assumed they were on the set of a rap video and we know what can happen at those (but we’ll never tell).

One interesting detail about this incident is that Brown’s mother, a corrections officer and licensed gun-owner, fired back at some of the shooters. Brown was understandably upset that some party-crashers were putting her guests’ lives at risk and that her famous potato salad would go to waste during police questioning.

By the way, save some lives before July 4. Buy a Stop Shooting t-shirt already.

Mrs. Brown, I’m offering to supply some shirts free of charge for your next soirĂ©e. It used to be that people knew these basic rules of etiquette: you don’t show up to a party empty-handed and you don’t exchange gunfire with your host.

  5. Word, it’s not as if anything that originates on the mean cobblestone streets of Beantown can possibly be written off as bitchmade, stupid, or ill-conceived. Have fun keeping it real on Benzino’s turf while bumping the NKOTB/Nice N’Smooth collabo out of an I-Roc on the way to Seamus McGillicuddy’s Pub for happy hour jalapeno poppers and draft Guiness.

  7. No disrespect, but fuck Boston man. I come from Baghdad, the hoodest of all hoods, so i dunno man but y’all better recognise.

Last week, I kills my little sister for using my toothbrush, and then sent my moms to the g-g-g-g-graveyard for overheating the eggs. I said “light”, bitch!

Fingers crossed and your boy Bush’ll drop a couple of nukes right over the Wesside area, y’know? That way I’ll be able to brag about my lack of limbs (and torso, head and ass) to anyone who threatens others over the comments pages of an obscure (i’m sayin!) hip-hop website.

We bout to be the murder capitol.
