Earlier this year Lord Finesse mysteriously backed out of the interview we had scheduled with him. For some reason I just received email from him or from his address “on behalf of your friend, Ness” inviting me to join a site called ComePlayBingoWithMe.com. The email ends with a postal address in Cyprus. Anyone know if Finesse has gone to some kind of online Bingo playing retreat on the Mediterranean? Prediction: this may be reported as fact at AllHipHop or SOHH by end of day.

I reported already about the amusing yet kind of disturbing trend of real life simulations of video games.
BoingBoing obviously sees all life ultimately ascending towards video game existence with their stories this week on Human Space Invaders, Arcade Oriental rugs and my favorite – a study in the name of science which uses living beings (crickets) to act as the ghosts in Pac-Man. Excelsior!

The revealing part of this quote from Jimi Izrael is the discrepancy between “there has to be some dialog” and “I take on some dude named Donald here”.
Meanwhile in the comments at the blog of “some dude named Donald” it looks like a lot more “taking on” than opening up “some dialog” is going on. Jimi keeps pushing the fairly ridiculous hardline statement “AIDS is either a gay disease or it isn’t. Can’t have it both ways.” Donald and the commenters extrapolate more than I think Jimi is intending this statement to convey and neither party seems willing to concede a point or even a good intention to the other.
The difference between having a dialog and taking on an opponent is huge. There are ways to shift either situation into the other. I’m hoping to see that dialog part start happening soon.
