Well it’s been a busy but very successful salute to crack week.

Thanks to everyone who contributed, checked in and linked to Crack Week! In particular thanks to agent b and Sacha Orenstein for getting a whole bunch of art and writing done this week.

There were a few ideas conceived that didn’t fully materialize which probably will appear in the near future (word to Cam-bot) but lets look back at the myriad accomplishments of crack week:

• Line for Line of T. Biggums by Oh No featuring Dudley Perkins and Georgia Anne Muldrow – Sacha Orenstein

• Five new Wu-Tang / Peanuts strips keep agent b very occupied. Catch them all at the complete gallery!

• Khal delivered a cracked state of the union of sorts, digging into the significance of all this crack rap.

• Jimi Izrael weighed in on the surprising educational quality of the Crackheads Gone Wild DVD.

• Sacha Orenstein does a track by track review of the crack-centric release “Port of Miami” by Rick Ross.

• Reflections on crack-related music videos from three different eras:
  • Rocked to a different kind of bass
  • The Crack flick evolution
  • The Crack flick conclusion

• Robbie Ettelson drops some knowledge on us regarding “Crack it up” a lost classic which advocated smoking crack.

• External sources we think are definitely worth a look.
  • Jeff Chang, Hua Hsu and Nick Sylvester on “crack rap”
  • Dallas Penn, Model Minority and Biochemical Slang on the topic of crack

• In the “news”:
  • Baking Soda Sales and Rap Music maps out a secret but obvious relationship.
