Figured I’d hit y’all with some stray news before I bounced for the night.
Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert ether Rivera and O’Reilly
Am I the only one who laughed my ass off at this sketch? Geraldo ran his mouth on the O’Reilly factor, belittling Stewart and Colbert’s news spoofs and came off like a damn fool. Personal bias against these guys aside though, even I cringed at the unrelenting verbal smackdown the Daily Show staff laid down on the man in response. Colbert in particular went straight for the jugular with a fiery rant that can only be described as a white, politico-comic “Hit em Up”. In a single sentence no less.
New Saigon track leaks
Sai-Giddy put up a new song on his Myspace page and it’s a banger. String based beat sounds like Just Blaze at his most Rza-like and Sai’s poverty assailing verses are best described as bleak as fuck. Not even Trey Songs’ hook can ruin the song as Just turns off the man’s autotune filter and lets the vocals breathe. Won’t be a hit with the Snap/trap/alt crowd and it doesn’t have enough of a gimmick to keep most armchair A&R’s happy but it works for me.
I’m just saying…
I’m not a conspiracy theorist and I believe the simplest explanation is usually the right one. Al-Qaida affiliated psychos almost certainly did want to blow up 10 planes in a sick plot to prevent us from transporting shampoo. But am I the only one who finds it shady that the US Government told us this the day after a Peacenik Democrat beat Lieberman? I mean they’ve known about it since last weekend. Sure they had to catch “the baddies” and didn’t want to leak it out too soon, but the timing remains suspect. REALLY suspect.

what i didn’t like is that he said he would put him on notice, but he didnt even talk about it on his show…probably cus they tape both shows at the same time
