Yes, Virginia, there is an internet.

The Blogging Times has found their MySpace music video blogger.

Erin Fetherman is interesting, knowledgable, and cute. She also writes and edits her own shows.

TV will now be following internet rules. The barrier for entry is none. What are you waiting for?

Try out your ideas. There’s no real cost aside from time. If they don’t work, try again or come up with more ideas.

Last week I posted an ad here and 1 single ad on Craigs List that I was looking to help a different site find their video talent. One week later and I’ve not only found an ideal candidate (or more accurately she found us via the ad on Craigs List) but her first episode is already up.

That’s internet time. Are you keeping up?

One person with his friend’s cool project idea, minimal effort and zero budget can find the perfect candidate for a new kind of TV show. Talent search to finished product online… one week. No TV network bullshit needed.

And all it takes is a remarkable project plus remarkable people… simple, right?

Sustaining success is the challenging part. The Blogging Times will be running this weekly and I think Erin will get even better as she figures out the medium.

Speaking of TV in internet time, the Ghetto Big Mac has been viewed by over 85,000 according to YouTube but figure 70,000 of those were during the first ten days. Your overnight hit will probably also plateau overnight. If you’re not already thinking about the next project then you might just be losing momentum.

  3. I have heard good some things about Erin. Good for her she chose to roll with the winners. When I get off holiday I am going to be on some Pinky and the Brain type ish. I will be the brain of course, while Dallas can be the other dude.
