Your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper is OLD.
While the 80’s babies go to war with the gods and the 70’s babies struggle to maintain, the 60’s babies have either quietly moved on to more profitable enterprises, are caking off that show loot or in some rare cases are still releasing iller shit than their young disciples. Kind of renders the age debate moot to me when Cuban Linx II is coming from a producer who could have seen Woodstock out of his mom’s bellybutton window. Not to mention Scarface, Jay-Z, Ghostface, Pete Rock, Queen Latifah, Q-Tip, B-Real, Phife, Redman and half a dozen other A-listers missed the 60’s baby window by less than a year. The moral of this story? Parents who eat acid and who bump Motown and Jimmy make better rappers than ones who dance to disco or slow jam to Quiet Storm.
EDIT: These dates are from the internets. All mistakes are on Allmusic.

You young bucks (or children of young bucks).
My dad was already 22 when Ice T was born!
He was 41 when I was born though so I guess that wasn’t too typical.

Always wondered the age of some rappers. Wish someone could find out exactly what year Kool Keith was born. He’s gotta be between 37-40.
