Tony Starks the first black man to bomb foreign lands…
I hate to go all video-blog on y’all but I keep coming across dope shit as I trail the usual round of message boards. Plus if I try to write more than one serious piece per week they come out cranky.
Still, I can’t see how anyone can get mad at this particular time capsule as a young Tony Starks blacks the fuck out backed by Raekwon and Joe “whatever happened to son?” Clair. As glad as I am that Ghost is getting his due props years later, it’s hard to deny that the criminology he was kicking pre-Forever is light years beyond his current steez, not to mention your average 06 emcee. Someone ought to forward this video to every spot-holder on 106 & Park as a reminder that they’re basically rap-guppies until further notice.
ghostface is the shit, now and forever. But theres plenty of new jacks…............................myspace.com/polohiphop

What a great way to ensure that no one ever listens to your music.
I’ve seen Joe Clair in several commercials since his Rap City days.

Yeah I was gonna say, isn’t there a commercial with Joe Clair running vurrently? I can’t remember what it was for, I was that shocked to see him.
The bigger question is: what the hell happened to Chris Thomas?

you guys don’t follow these Rap City hosts, do you? Joe Clair has done MAD commercial work, from fucking Dannon Fruit Smoothie jawns to some other nonsense. He was actually just on this past season of Def Comedy Jam… talkin about being the brother of a gay person and shit, it was kind of funny.
I haven’t heard from Chris Thomas since 2002. I saw him in Trenton, NJ, performing with Sommore and DL Hughley. He was still doing impersonations and what not, the crowd got mad at his modern-day Muhammad Ali bit, but hey, it’s not like Ali doesn’t shake.

I used to work with Joe Cleezy back in the day. He had me drawing up papers for his “record label: and shit. Dude really wanted to be a rapper! Guess that dannon check made him rethink his whole steeze!

DOPE video, and yes it is a freestyle, maybe not in the backpacker sense, but as far as I’m concerned, spitting a random verse over a random instrumental constitutes a freestyle, it doesn’t have to be “off the head.”

Speak of the devil: Joe Clair’s got a somewhat questionable editorial up on Allhiphop.
