Sean Price Wants to Know: WHODUNIT? · by R.H.S.

In a brilliant millenial move, the reliable folks at Duck Down Records inserted individually numbered promobot voiceovers into the promo copies of Sean Price’s upcoming LP Jesus Price Superstar. Problem is, somebody leaked their copy today. Reviewers, consider this to be a perverse lottery of sorts. Now this is OhWord, where peace, love, and positivity reigns supreme, so we wouldn’t actively encourage a beatdown. Instead, like the good samaritans we are, we’re giving you your running start:

ATTN: Reviewers: If you leaked Jesus Price Superstar and your copy number is 33, you win the Duck Down Street Team Beatdown lottery. Run, now.

  6. Great move Sean P. There’s a book called Prayer for the City about Philly’s old mayor and current PA gov Ed Rendell. Somebody in his office was leaking memos so he had all of them indiviudally numbered in the corner. When the reporter questioned him about the leaked memo, he looked at the memo and knew who leaked it. Moral of the story – Sean P for Mayor.

    that’s probably the smartest thing i’ve heard in a while. makes perfect sense if you’re trying to cut out the ‘leggin. much better than trying to make your album as fast as you can… lupe be nimble.

  11. i always assume its some intern from within the label that leaks the lps. or some angry radio dj. or a magazine reviewer. whoo kid said he used to pay mag writers for copies of the albums they review so he could have exclusives for his mixtapes/sets.
