It wasn’t long ago that the rapidly-aging Star, host of Power 105’s Star and Bucwild morning show, was giddily telling his audience how payola reports had come to light at his former employer (and current competitor) Hot 97.
Today it comes out that Power 105 owner Clear Channel has let go 2 programming executives for swimming in the same dirty pool that Hot 97 execs have been keeping warm for years.
Clear Channel may not be naming names but J-Smooth asks if anyone can confirm the rumor that 1 of the 2 is Power 105 Program Director Michael Saunders.

Perhaps no one else but me noticed that this station is still playing Hollaback Girl several times a day even way past its expiration date on top 40 radio. I swear everytime I scan the stations they’re playing that song. I’m guessing this is what tipped off Spitzer too.
Anyway, I’m sure now that these bad seeds have been uprooted both radio stations can go back to being really just terrific!
